Karena ada beberapa postingan bertema blogging yang tidak sempat dimasukin di bulan Juni jadi disusul deh di bulan Juli mumpung tema bulan ini khusus tentang tulisan-tulisan yang terlambat diposting.

Yow.. hampir enam tahun jadi blogger, baru-baru ini aja saya tahu ternyata ada kelompok-kelompok penulis blogger… kemane aja lo, Ke?

Yo.. It’s been nearly six years that I’ve become a blogger and it wasn’t until recently that I found out there are actually groups for blog writers … wth were you all this time, Keke?

Haha.. Itu juga nemunya di Facebook.

Ga sengaja pula.

Unintentional discovery.

Beberapa teman saya di Facebook adalah penulis blog dan waktu lagi browsing wall mereka, saya lihat mereka ini anggota dari beberapa kelompok penulis blog.

Few of my Facebook friends are blog writers and when I was browsing their walls I discovered that they are members of blog writer groups.

Jadi ceritanya nih, setelah hampir enam tahun rasanya sih sudah cukup eksislah saya.. ehem.. dan cukup pede buat nyebut diri penulis blog, selain itu juga ada rasa pengen cari habitat sesama penulis blog.

So I thought after nearly six years I have earned it to be recognized and known as blog writer.. yep.., besides I also wanted to find my habitat, to be with fellow blog writers.

Kelompok penulis blog sih tidak banyak tapi masing-masing punya anggota buaanyaakkk banget. Sampai bingung saya waktu browsing wall mereka yang penuh sama link blog dari para anggotanya. Wih, banyak banget blog yang menarik.

Blog writers groups are few but each of them have lots of members. It gives quite an amazement when I browsed their walls which full with members blog links. So many interesting blogs.

Yang bikin tampilan blog lebih menarik dari pada buku adalah karena dari mulai header sampai footer di desain menurut kreativitas masing-masing penulisnya. Sampai jadi sirik saya ngeliat blog-blog itu. Bagus-bagus banget! Apalagi kalau yang punya domain sendiri yang ga gratisan. Aih, rasanya tampilan blog sendiri jadi kalah keren..

What makes blog appearance is more interesting than books is because from header to footer is designed according to each writer’s creativity. I’m just so envy of those blogs. Damn!! They are awesome! Especially the ones that have their own domain, the paid type of domain. Aww, it makes me feel mine isn’t as cool as theirs..

Yang mengagumkan lagi adalah banyak penulis blog itu tidak punya latar belakang ilmu programing software tapi bisa ngedesain blog yang tampilannya keren banget. Ok deh mungkin template atau icon-iconnya dapat nyomot dari kiri kanan tapi perlu keahlian juga buat bisa ngerti gimana caranya ngaplikasikan ke blog. Buat orang yang ngerti programing mungkin tidak susah tapi buat orang awam kayak saya.. bikin puyeng..

What more impressive is many of those blog writers don’t have background in software programing but they can design their blogs awesomely. Ok so they probably took the template or the icons from here and there but it needs ability to understand how it works and how to apply it to blog. It may not be difficult for people who understand about programing but for self-taught like myself.. man, it gives a headache..

Te-o-pe be-ge-te deh buat para penulis blog ini. Apalagi ternyata rata-rata sudah berkeluarga. Kebayang ga sih, punya suami dan anak tambah lagi kerja fulltime tapi masih bisa punya waktu buat nulis dan ngedesain blog yang hasilnya bagus-bagus pula.. yang jadi ibu RT pun masih bisa ngeblog.. eh, emang ibu rumah tangga leyeh-leyeh aja.. kerjaannya setumpuk bo.. apalagi kalau punya balita dan bayi..

Salute for these blog writers. Many of them are actually married and have family. Imagine this, having husband and children plus having fulltime job but still have time to write and design their blog awesomely.. even the staying home mom can have time to blog.. so you think stay home mom is a couch potato? Hey, they have many house chores.. not to mention if they have toddlers and baby around..

Dulu waktu Josh, anak Andre, lagi libur di sini dan kalau saya nginap di rumah Andre, dia suka banget buntutin saya, pengen tahu saya lagi bikin apa, pengen ikut terlibat dalam apa pun yang lagi saya kerjakan, apa pun yang saya pegang jadi menarik. Untung aja sekarang setelah dia lebih besar kebiasaan itu sudah agak berkurang.

When Josh, Andre’s son, spent his vacation here and I stayed in Andre’s place, the boy liked it so much of following me around, eagerly curious to know what I was doing, wanted to involve in whatever I was doing, everything I had on my hand appeared to be so interesting. Good thing this habit ceased as he got older.

Nah, kalau sudah kayak gitu gimana mau bikin draft postingan? Mesti nunggu dia tidur dulu.. jadi deh saya baru bisa nongkrong di depan laptop setelah jam sepuluh malam, itu juga kalau tenaganya masih ada.

How could I draft any blog post in that kind of situation? I had to wait until he went to bed.. well, it was after ten at night when I could finally work on the laptop, if I had the energy to do so.

Tanpa anak pun perlu perjuangan buat bikin draft blog. Pulang kerja, saya ngajar les bahasa Inggris. Begitu kelar ngajar baru berasa deh capek dan ngantuknya. Di hari-hari saya bebas dari jadwal ngajar, pulang kerja saya bersih-bersih rumah.. untung punya bokap yang jago masak dan lumayan terampil sama urusan kerjaan rumah jadi ga semua ditumplekin ke saya. Syukur punya bokap dan pacar yang sejenis dalam perkara ini.. hehe..

Even without child it takes quite a struggle to draft a post. After work I tutor English. I feel so tired and sleepy only after it’s done. On the days when I don’t have tutoring schedule, I do house chores.. so thankful to have a father who can cook and handy in doing house work so everything is not fall on my shoulder. So grateful to have a father and a boyfriend who are good on this stuff.

Jadi benar-benar mengagumkan deh para penulis blog yang merangkap sebagai fulltime mom atau fulltime worker yang bisa bikin tulisan-tulisan serta mendesain blog dengan tampilan menarik karena saya tahu itu tidak gampang.

So it is really amazing for blog writers who happen to be fulltime moms or fulltime workers and still able to make awesome writings or awesome blog appearance because I know it’s not easy.

Ok, kalau dipostingan sebelumnya saya nulis tentang KEB (Kumpulan Emak Blogger), sekarang gilirannya Blogger Perempuan.

Blogger Perempuan (BP)

Ini grup blogger kedua yang saya pilih untuk menggabungkan diri.

This is the second blog that I chose to join.

Dasar pemilihan yang utama karena (seperti KEB) ini adalah kelompok penulis perempuan.

The main consideration is because (just like KEB) it’s a women’s writer group.

Kalau dalam pergaulan, saya tidak pilih-pilih. Laki-laki atau perempuan enak-enak aja dijadikan teman. Sebetulnya malah lebih asyik temanan dengan lelaki karena mereka lebih cool, tidak moody, tidak emosional (yah, ga semua kayak gitu sih.. ada juga yang rese dan nyebelin) tapi kalau urusan nyari habitat sesama penulis.. ah, saya lebih suka gabung sama kelompok penulis perempuan. Ada rasa lebih nyaman dan nyambung dengan mereka.

I am not picky in choosing friends. It is fun to make friends male or female. Infact it is more fun to make friends with male because they’re cool, not moody, not emotional (well, not all male is like that.. there are assholes and pain in the ass too) but when it comes to finding habitat of fellow writers.. hm, I prefer to join women’s writer group. It feels more comfortable and connected to be with them. 

Sama seperti BEP, para admin di BP sangat responsif. Salam perkenalan saya direspon. Pertanyaan saya direspon. Waktu saya bingung karena logo BP tidak muncul padahal saya sudah mengikuti petunjuk yang ada, admin BP cepat merespon dan ketika mereka mentok juga ada member yang merespon.

Just like BEP, BP’s administrators are very responsive. They responded to my greetings. They responded to my questions. They quickly responded when I got confused over BP logo that wouldn’t appear though I have followed all the instruction and when the administrators too couldn’t figure it out, members came to help.

Saya menghargai sekali perhatian dan kesigapan mereka dalam mengatasi sikon yang dihadapi oleh member.

I appreciate their attention and how they promptly handled the situation faced by the members.

Saya hargai kesabaran mereka menghadapi anggota yang mungkin gaptek atau ilmunya tidak secanggih mereka. Contohnya ya siapa lagi kalau bukan saya.. hehe.. selain urusan masang logo, kegaptekan saya juga kelihatan waktu saya ga ngerti apa sih yang disebut thread.

I appreciate their patience dealing with members who are not really into computer software stuff or have limited knowledge compare to them. Take me as an example.. yep.. it is just so obvious when I dealt with setting up the logo and when I didn’t understand what thread is.

Thread itu diandaikan kotak-kotak. Tiap kotak punya kategori tersendiri. Misalnya kotak nomor satu khusus untuk kertas berwarna merah, kotak nomor dua untuk kertas warna biru.. dst.

Thread is like boxes. Each box has its own category. For example box number one is for red paper, box number two is for blue paper.. so on.

Nah, di BP kategori threadnya dibuat perhari. Jadi ada thread untuk hari Senin sampai Minggu. Ada ketentuan untuk masing-masing hari. Hari Senin untuk postingan yang paling disukai, yang bikin happy karena kategori thread untuk Senin adalah Happy Monday.

So, BP’s thread is made daily. So there is thread for each day from Monday to Sunday. There are terms for each day. Monday is for the favorite post, the ones that makes the writer feels happy because Monday’s thread category is Happy Monday.

Idenya bagus juga jadi setiap anggota bisa milih yang sesuai sama kebutuhannya. Kalau lagi pengen taruh postingan baru atau mau pamerin postingan yang paling ok, bisa taruh di thread Senin dan Minggu. Buat ajuin pertanyaan, pilihlah thread Kamis.

It’s a good idea so each member can choose according to their need. Want to share new post or want to show off one specific post, put them in Monday and Sunday thread. Want to ask question, choose Thursday thread.

Tapi kalau saya perhatikan, banyak juga anggota yang tidak sepenuhnya mengerti soal thread karena ada postingan yang harusnya masuk ke hari Senin dan Minggu tapi nyasar ke thread hari yang lain.

However, I noticed that many members don’t quite understand this thread thing because post that should go into Monday and Sunday thread went into other thread.

Thread ini juga sempat bikin saya bingung ketika pertama kali mau share postingan saya. Soalnya kalau mau share ke facebook, saya tinggal klik icon facebook di bagian bawah template blog dan muncul kotak dengan pilihan postingan ini mau di share ke wall sendiri, wall teman atau wall group.

This thread did confuse me when I wanted to share my post for the first time. It works differently with sharing it to facebook, I just need to click facebook icon button under the blog template and a box appears with options of share it to my own wall, a friend’s wall or group’s wall.

Cara begitu tidak bisa dipakai kalau mau share ke thread.

It doesn’t work that way to share to thread.

Saya perhatikan setiap postingan di tiap thread dan saya menemukan kesamaan; ada alamat link blog. Nalar saya jalan; berarti saya harus preview dulu postingan yang mau saya share dan linknya saya copy, terus saya masuk ke thread tujuan dan paste link itu disana.. jreng.. muncul deh judul serta foto dari postingan itu.

I viewed each post in each thread and I found one similarity; there is blog link address. My logic started to work; it means I have to preview the post which I want to share and I copy its link, after that I go to the particular thread and paste that link address.. voila.. the title and photo of that post appeared on the thread.

Yah, banyak blogger yang seperti saya, otodidak, dan ilmu yang kami dapatkan tidak untuk disembunyikan tapi untuk dibagikan.

Well, many bloggers are like me, the self taught, and the knowledge we gained is not meant to be hidden but it is to be shared.
