Tadinya saya mengira hanya ada satu jalur menuju Curug
Luhur.
At first I thought there was only one way to get
to Curug Luhur.
Dari terminal angkot Laladon naik angkot 05 menuju Ciampea,
turun di Tapos lalu melanjutkan perjalanan dengan naik ojeg menuju Curug Luhur.
Demikianlah keterangan yang saya dapatkan dari istri ‘adik’ saya.
Take
05 angkot to Ciampea from Laladon angkot terminal, get off at Tapos and take
ojeg (motorcycle) to Curug Luhur. That was the information I got from my
‘brother’s’ wife.
Satu hari sebelum saya berangkat ke Curug Luhur (Minggu, 10
Nov) saya bertemu dengan seorang teman dan ketika dia mengetahui saya akan ke
Curug Luhur, dia menceritakan bahwa dia pernah ke tempat itu dan memberitahu
saya harus ambil angkot menuju Ciapus dari seberang BTM, di jalan Empang.
A day before I went to Curug Luhur (Sunday, Nov 10th) I met a friend and once she knew I planned to go to Curug Luhur, she told me she went there before and she just told me to take angkot to Ciapus from across BTM (Bogor Trade Mall), at Empang street.
Sepertinya kok jalurnya lebih saya kenal dan lebih
sederhana.
The
route is more familiar to me and simplier too.
Jadi keesokan harinya (Senin, 11 Nov) berangkatlah saya
langsung menuju BTM.
So the next day (Monday, Nov 11th) I left straight to BTM.
Setelah sampai di BTM, saya menyeberang jalan. Dua kali
bertanya pada supir angkot nomor 03 jurusan Ciapus dan mereka semua mengatakan
hal sama, untuk ke Curug Luhur, harus naik angkot yang di kaca depannya
bertuliskan ‘FATEN’.
I
crossed the street once I got at BTM. Twice I met 03 Ciapus angkot driver and I
asked which angkot should I take to go to Curug Luhur. Each of them told me I
should take angkot that has ‘FATEN’ sign written on the front rear.
Angkotnya sedikit.
The
angkot serving the route to Curug Luhur is rare.
Saya beruntung menemukan satu yang akan segera berangkat dan
beruntunglah juga saya karena masih tersisa persis satu tempat walau pun saya
harus terjepit di antara penumpang dan di depan kaki saya tergeletak kantong
plastik jumbo berisi pisang.
I was
lucky to find one that was leaving and lucky to find one last seat though I had
to be stuffed in between other passengers and there was this jumbo size plastic
bag fulled with bananas placed infront of my feet.
Perjalanan memakan waktu satu jam. Tanpa macet. Tanpa
ngetem.
It
took about an hour to get there. No traffic jam. Didn’t make any long stopping
to get new passenger.

Curug Luhur yang saya temui banyak bedanya dengan yang saya
lihat dari hasil googling di internet.
There
were many differences I met in Curug Luhur with the googling result.
Yang pertama adalah harga tiket masuknya yang melonjak
menjadi Rp.40.000,-.

first is the entrance fee is sky rocketing to Rp.40.000,-
Teman saya memberitahu ketika dia kesana harga tiketnya
hanya Rp.7.000,-. Dari hasil googling, saya menemukan blog yang menulis tentang kunjungannya ke Curug Luhur pada Juni 2010 dan terlihat harga tiketnya
malah lebih murah, Rp.5.000,-

My
friend said when she went there it was only Rp.7.000,-. I Googled and found a blog written about Curug Luhur and it showed
that 3 years ago it was even cheaper than that as it was only Rp.5.000,-
Rupanya diadakan renovasi dan pembangunan besar-besaran.
It
looks like huge renovation and reconstruction were made.
Rupanya tempat ini ingin dijadikan sebagai tempat wisata
air.

Tapi saya kecewa melihat keaslian air terjunnya malah jadi
sangat berkurang.
But it
disappointed me to see it has lessened the natural side of the waterfall.
Tempatnya sih tidak jelek. Masih dikitari oleh rimbunnya
pepohonan.
The
place isn’t that bad. It is still surrounded by lots of trees.
Tapi menurut saya seharusnya bagian air terjunnya tetap
dibiarkan alami. Dari foto-foto yang saya dapatkan di internet menunjukkan
tadinya ada beberapa air terjun tapi sekarang yang paling besar hanya satu itu dan itu pun tidak sebesar seperti yang terlihat pada foto di tahun 2010, sementara yang lainnya saya kira air mengalir di selokan.

But
they should leave the waterfall as origin as possible. The photos from the
internet shows there were some waterfalls but the one I met there was just the
main one and it is not as big as the ones showed in the photos taken 3 years ago, while the others didn’t look like waterfalls that I mistakenly thought
they were water flowed in the ditch.

Hal lain yang bagi saya merusak pemandangan adalah atap-atap
asbes dari tempat-tempat yang menjual makanan sehingga memberi kesan kumuh.
Lantainya terbuat dari kayu atau mungkin malah hanya semen. Gelap. Buat saya
memberi kesan menjijikkan. Apalagi saya melihat pakaian si penjual makanan di
jemur berjejer-jejer pada selembar tali.

Other
things that ruined the view is the asbestos roofs of what seems to be food
stalls. It gave the slum impression. I saw the floor are made from wood or
maybe just cement. Dark. I found it kind a disgusting. Not to mention that I saw
laundry were hung in a rope.
Saya tidak berminat untuk berenang karena tujuan utama saya
kesitu adalah untuk melihat air terjunnya, lagi pula saya sedang menstruasi
pada waktu itu, juga karena saya datang sendiri, lalu saya perkirakan airnya
pasti sedingin air es dan alasan terakhir adalah karena saya lihat kolamnya
banyak yang berlumut… haduh, pasti licin..

I
wasn’t in the mood to swim in the swimming pools because my main reason was to
see the waterfall, beside, I was having my menstruation at that time, I came
alone, the water must be icy cold and last reason is I saw the floor on those
pools were moss covered.. gosh, it must be slippery.

Toiletnya amat sangat sederhana. Hanya bangunan bertembok
dan berlantai semen. Wc jongkok, bak mandinya sepanjang kloset jongkok itu dan
tingginya mungkin hanya 50 cm.

The
toilet is so modest. It is just a building with cemented wall and floor, with
Asian watercloset, the bathtub is about 60x20 cm, with its height is probably
just 50 cm.
Soal kebersihan toilet? Hmm.. saya tidak tahu apa rutin
dibersihkan atau tidak. Yang pasti saya melihat bungkus permen dan bungkus
bekas shampo sachet di lantai. Tidak ada tempat sampah.
Toilet
cleanliness? Hmm.. I don’t know if they clean it regularly or not. One thing
for sure is I saw candy wrappers and shampoo sachet wrapper on the floor. There
is no dust bin.
Tapi pemakai toilet harus bayar Rp.2.000. Lucu juga. Airnya
kan dari sumber mata air alias gratisan. Bukan air PAM.
But it
is charged Rp.2.000 to use the toilet. Kind a funny. The water came from the
spring which of course free of charge. It is not the city water.
Kalau bukan karena kebelet pipis banget dan harus mengganti
pembalut sebelum pulang, saya pasti ogah masuk ke toilet itu.
If not
because I needed to pee and had to change my sanitary napkin before I went
home, I definitely wouldn’t get in that toilet.

Compared
it with the swimming pool in Duta Berlian Hotel when I went there for a swim
few weeks earlier. The entrance fee is Rp.20.000 but the toilet is free of
charge. So the outer look of the toilet is small and not good but inside the
chambers are pretty good and clean, they’ve got western watercloset, there is
shower, ceramic floor, there are hanger, a place to put soap or shampoo, there
is a dust bin too and good lighting.
Bagaimana dengan orang-orang yang saya temui di Curug Luhur?
How
about the people I met in Curug Luhur?
Penjaganya kelihatan acuh tak acuh. Dan saat bicara lebih
banyak tidak mau memandang bertatapan mata. Aneh.. saya toh tidak akan
menggigit, pak.. hehe..

The
guy at the ticket counter looked ignorance. And when he spoke to me, he avoided
eye contact. That’s odd.. I wouldn’t bite you, sir.. lol..

Yee.. gimana ceritanye.. sudah lokasinya di ujung dunia,
angkot yang melewati tempat ini sedikit, tiket masuknya mahal, air terjunnya
makin tidak alami, kolam renangnya lumutan lantainya, toiletnya tidak
menggairahkan.. trus, stok brosur ga banyak… gimana elu mau promosiin ni
tempat, coy..

Yeah..
right.. there it is located at the end of the world, few angkot serving the route
to this place, the entrance fee is expensive, the waterfall became less
natural, the moss covered floor swimming pools, the unimpressive toilet.. and
now you’re telling me you don’t have any brochure left?!.. how would you
promote this place to the world, dude..

Sigh..
Jadi buat saya yang mengesankan dari tempat itu hanyalah air
terjunnya dan pemilik warung tempat saya makan soto mie, dua kakak beradik itu
sangat ramah. Adiknya malah dengan senang hati menjadi tukang potret untuk
saya.
What impressive
for me from this place is the waterfall and the friendly sisters who owned the
food stall where I bought a bowl of soto mie or noodle. The youngest one even
happily became my photographer.
Oya, semangkok soto mie dan segelas teh manis panas dibandrol
dengan harga Rp.20.000,-. Soto mie-nya lumayan enak dan porsinya lumayan bikin kenyang.

Oh, it
cost me Rp.20.000,- for a bowl of soto mie or beef noodle and a glass of hot sweet
tea. The beef noodle tasted quite good and the portion is enough to satisfy the hungry stomach.

15 menit kalau leyeh-leyeh. Saya naik becak hanya kalau hari hujan, saya sedang
capek atau badan tidak fit)

minutes on foot-average speed, 15 minutes slow walk. I only take becak or pedicab if it is
raining, I was tired or feeling unwell).
Ditambah dengan tiket masuk Rp.40.000,- dan soto mie serta
teh manis panas sebesar Rp.20.000,-
Add it
with entrance fee Rp.40.000,- and a bowl of beef noodle and hot sweet tea of
Rp.20.000,-
Totalnya jadi berapa ya?.. mabok saya ngitungin angka-angka
itu jadi itung aja deh sendiri.. hehe..
How
much is that in total?.. it gives me the dizzy to count those numbers so I let
you do the counting.. lol..
Begini deh, perjalanan backpacking ini setidaknya
membutuhkan budget sekitar Rp.100.000,-
Let me
put it this way, this backpacking trip budget is around Rp.100.000,-

My
piggy bank has become slimmer..
Tapi nilai kebahagiaan, kepuasan dan kebanggaannya melebihi
nilai uang.

the happiness, satisfaction and pride are worth more than money value.
