They are rare and only once I had a female driver.

The easiest way is the plate number. However, since I am not good at remembering list of random numbers, I only pay attention to the two last letters.

Awalnya penumpang dikasih masker dan pelindung rambut tapi belakangan sudah ga ada lagi. Sebagian besar supir ojeg online ini malah tidak pernah menawarkan dua benda itu ke saya.
At first passenger were given mask and hair cap but they are no longer available. Most of this online ride drivers have never offered me those two things.

Oh, about helmet. Some are smooth and its front plastic have less scratch. But many are blur, cracked and have many scratches. Some are loose but there are few so tight it felt as if my head was stuck in it.. is my head too big or the helmet is too small? Hmm.. *wondering*..

Once a passenger before me must be a woman and just had her hair washed so the helmet had the smell of her shampoo that it got into my hair.. cool..

Another time the helmet was obviously just laundered because it was smell sooooo nice.. it was quite awesome to smell the fresh clean helmet all the way home and not the bad sweat odor of a helmet which has been worn by millions of people.
Kalau tentang jas hujan. Kebanyakan yang bahannya dari plastik seperti kantong kresek. Nah, yang model begini bagian dalamnya gampang lembab atau malah jadi ikut basah.
Regarding raincoat. Mostly are made from plastic similar to regular plastic bag. This type is easily get moist inside and may even become wet.
Sekali pernah si supir ragu menawarkan jas hujan model ini karena katanya basah.
I once had a driver who hesitated to offer me to wear this kind of raincoat.

Their strike has given online ride service received many orders.
Tapi situasi sempat genting sampai para supir ojeg online tidak memakai atribut yang mencantumkan logo atau nama perusahaan.
But it became quite heated that online ride drivers didn't wear anything that has the company's logo or name.
Saya dan supir Uber yang mengantarkan saya pulang hari Senin bahkan sampai mengarang cerita untuk mengantisipasi kalau kami dihentikan oleh supir angkot di jalan dan ditanyai apakah dia supir ojeg online atau bukan. Kami sepakat mengatakan bahwa dia adalah tetangga saya yang diminta ayah saya untuk menjemput saya dari kantor.
Uber driver who drove me home on Monday and I have even made up a story to anticipate the possibility of being stopped by angkot drivers and asked if he is online ride driver. We agreed to tell that he is a neighbor who was asked by my father to pick me up from work.

Karena terlalu fokus ke plat nomor, seringkali saya malah tidak tahu nama supirnya. Jadi waktu mau negur, saya gelagapan sendiri.. 'eh, pak.. pak.. siapa deh?'. Duh, jadi malu deh eikke.. hehehe..
Since I focus more on the plate number I take less attention to the driver's name. So when I talked to him I realized I didn't know his name and I went mumbling like this 'um, sir.. what is your name by the way?'. Man, that was really embarrassing.. lol..
Tapi sekali saya pernah kesulitan mengenali supir gara-gara nomor plat motornya butek banget. Orangnya juga pakai jaket biasa. Jadi deh jarak kami kurang dari sepuluh langkah tapi saling tidak mengenali.
One time I hardly recognized the driver because the plate number was not clear, it was covered with dirt. The driver wore his own jacket. So we were close but didn't recognize each other.

Biar pun pesanan diacak lewat komputer tapi berapa kali saya dapat supir yang sama.
Though orders are randomized by computer but it happened several times when my order was given to same driver.
Keuntungannya adalah karena pernah mengantarkan saya sekali atau dua kali, supir ini tentunya sudah hapal lokasi kantor dan rumah saya so saya tidak perlu lagi kasih tahu arah.
This comes in handy because after he drove me once or twice he certainly has known the location of my office and house so I don't have to give him any direction anymore.

Saya kaget waktu sekali supirnya ternyata adalah.. tukang koran langganan saya. Dia nganterin koran dan majalah di kompleks perumahan tempat saya tinggal.
One time I was surprised to find out that the driver is my paperguy. He delivers newspaper and magazines to my housing complex.
Bogor memang kota kecil jadi besar kemungkinan ketemu supir yang kita kenal.
Bogor is a small town so there is big chance to meet a driver who happens to be somebody you know.

Karena berapa kali mengantar saya akhirnya ada beberapa yang jadi teman.
After several times took my orders, few of the drivers have become friends with me.
Buat saya sih asyik-asyik saja tapi ternyata beberapa dari mereka pernah nanya apa saya yang orang kantoran tidak malu berteman dengan tukang ojeg.
It's pretty cool for me but few of them asked if an office worker like me wouldn't mind to make friends with an online driver.
Lho memangnya orang kantoran lebih terhormat, lebih baik dan lebih punya integritas tinggi dibandingkan mereka yang tukang ojeg?
Dude, do you think being an office worker makes me more respectable, kind and has high integrity than those who work as online drivers?

Masker, Pelindung Rambut, Helm, Jas Hujan
Mask, Hair Cap, Helmet, Raincoat
Awalnya penumpang dikasih masker dan pelindung rambut tapi belakangan sudah ga ada lagi. Sebagian besar supir ojeg online ini malah tidak pernah menawarkan dua benda itu ke saya.
At first passenger were given mask and hair cap but they are no longer available. Most of this online ride drivers have never offered me those two things.
Buat saya sih ga jadi masalah karena saya tidak pernah betah pakai masker dan soal pelindung rambut.. ah, saya kan pakai ojeg online cuma pas pulang ke rumah. Sampai rumah kan langsung mandi dan cuci rambut jadi saya adem ayem ajalah harus pakai helm yang sudah dipakai sama sejuta umat.. asal jangan ada yang kutuan aja sih..

It is not a problem for me because I don't like mask and hair cap.. well, I take online ride just to go home. Once I get home I take a bath and wash my hair so it's cool for me to wear helmet that has been used with millions of people.. as long as no one has no flea hair.
Oh, perkara helm. Ada yang masih mulus dan kaca plastiknya tidak banyak goresan. Tapi lebih banyak yang kaca plastiknya sudah buram, retak dan banyak goresan. Ada yang longgar banget tapi ada juga yang ketat ngejepit kepala.. ini kepala saya yang kegedean atau helmnya yang kekecilan ya? Hmm.. *mikir*..
Oh, about helmet. Some are smooth and its front plastic have less scratch. But many are blur, cracked and have many scratches. Some are loose but there are few so tight it felt as if my head was stuck in it.. is my head too big or the helmet is too small? Hmm.. *wondering*..
Sekali rupanya penumpang sebelum saya adalah perempuan dan habis keramas jadi helmnya wangi shampo sampai wanginya nempel ke rambut saya.. lumayan..
Once a passenger before me must be a woman and just had her hair washed so the helmet had the smell of her shampoo that it got into my hair.. cool..
Kali lain helm yang saya pakai rupanya habis di cuci jadi haruuuumm.. asyik juga sepanjang jalan hidung saya mencium bau segar, bersih dan harum dan bukan bau asemnya keringat sejuta umat.
Another time the helmet was obviously just laundered because it was smell sooooo nice.. it was quite awesome to smell the fresh clean helmet all the way home and not the bad sweat odor of a helmet which has been worn by millions of people.
Kalau tentang jas hujan. Kebanyakan yang bahannya dari plastik seperti kantong kresek. Nah, yang model begini bagian dalamnya gampang lembab atau malah jadi ikut basah.

Regarding raincoat. Mostly are made from plastic similar to regular plastic bag. This type is easily get moist inside and may even become wet.
Sekali pernah si supir ragu menawarkan jas hujan model ini karena katanya basah.
I once had a driver who hesitated to offer me to wear this kind of raincoat.
Yah, lu sudah ada di depan hidung gue masa gue cancel cuma karena jas hujannya lembab bagian dalamnya.. pikir saya. Ga apa-apa lah dari pada saya basah kena hujan. Lagian saya kan pakai baju hangat jadi lembab pun ga akan kena langsung ke baju.
Come on, I have you right infront of me and would I cancel the trip just because the raincoat is moist inside.. that was my thought. It would be better than to ride under the rain. Beside, I am wearing sweater so the moist won't get to my dress.
Cuma ya jas hujan model gini tidak memberikan rasa hangat.
The thing is this kind of raincoat doesn't warm the wearer.

Bogor itu kota hujan. Setiap hari setidaknya sekali pasti hujan.
Bogor is a rainy town. It rains at least once every day.
Cuma yang nyebelin nih, hujannya kok milih turun dekat-dekat jam 4 sore pas saya mau pulang.
The annoying thing is, it picks the time when it's almost 4 pm, my office hour ends at that hour.
Hari Minggu saya biasanya pulang tengah hari. Eh, deket-deket jam segitu mulai deh mendung dan byur! Hujan pas saya lagi siap-siap buat pulang. Gggrrrr!
I go home at noon on Sunday. When it's almost noon it gets cloudy and then.. it rains right when I am getting ready to leave. Gggrrrr!

Betrayal
Saya pemakai setia Grab sampai akhirnya datanglah Uber dan saya pun berkhianat.
I am a loyal customer of Grab until Uber came and I made my betrayal.
Bagaimana pun juga sulit untuk tetap setia kalau ada yang datang dan menawarkan segalanya yang lebih baik.. hehe..
Well, it is hard to remain loyal when another came and offer much better things.. haha..

Bulan ini tanggal 20-21 supir angkot mengadakan demo. Mogok. Protes pada kehadiran ojeg online.
This month on the 20th-21st angkot driver held demonstration. Having a strike. Protesting online ride service.
Mogoknya mereka malah memberikan rejeki pada para ojeg online yang menerima banyak orderan.
Their strike has given online ride service received many orders.
Tapi situasi sempat genting sampai para supir ojeg online tidak memakai atribut yang mencantumkan logo atau nama perusahaan.
But it became quite heated that online ride drivers didn't wear anything that has the company's logo or name.
Saya dan supir Uber yang mengantarkan saya pulang hari Senin bahkan sampai mengarang cerita untuk mengantisipasi kalau kami dihentikan oleh supir angkot di jalan dan ditanyai apakah dia supir ojeg online atau bukan. Kami sepakat mengatakan bahwa dia adalah tetangga saya yang diminta ayah saya untuk menjemput saya dari kantor.
Uber driver who drove me home on Monday and I have even made up a story to anticipate the possibility of being stopped by angkot drivers and asked if he is online ride driver. We agreed to tell that he is a neighbor who was asked by my father to pick me up from work.
Ternyata bukan saya saja lho. Teman saya bercerita bahwa dia juga melakukan hal yang sama. Cuma cerita karangannya beda. Kalau di tengah jalan mereka dihentikan supir angkot, dia akan mengatakan si supir adalah keponakannya.
It turned out I was not the only one. My friend told me that she did the same. She made different story. If they were stopped by angkot drivers, she would tell them that the driver is her nephew.
Sejauh ini sih tidak sampai terjadi kami dicegat di jalan tapi tidak ada salahnya berjaga-jaga.
So far none of us ever stopped by angkot driveers but it was better to be cautious.

Detour
Macet beberapa kali bikin banyak pengendara mencari rute alternatif.
Traffic jam has made many drivers sought for different route.
Sekian tahun saya tinggal di Ciomas saya sudah mengenali beberapa rute ini. Tapi rupanya masih ada jalan-jalan tikus yang tidak saya ketahui.
I have spent years living in Ciomas so I am familiar with few of these routes. However there are still many that I don't know.
Keuntungannya naik motor adalah dia bisa melalui jalur yang lebarnya cuma secuil.
The good thing about riding on motorcycle is it can pass through tiny passage.
Cuma yang bikin dag-dig-dug-der adalah sewaktu saya pulang sore, hampir jam 6, hujan, sudah gelap, jalanan sepi dan si supir ojeg online ini ngambil rute jalan tikus yang sama sekali asing buat saya.
The thing that made me pretty nervous is when I went home in the afternoon, it was almost 6 pm, it rained, dark, the road was quiet and this online ride driver took a detour route that completely unfamiliar to me.
Wah, sepanjang jalan saya sudah membayangkan segala jurus teko, jurus tendangan maut, jurus colok-mencolok dan terakhir adalah jurus lari tunggang langgang kalau seandainya.. dia berhenti dan saya disergap oleh gerombolannya.. hiii.. Tuhan, lindungi aku..

Di saat lain supirnya milih jalur secuil yang kirinya sungai kecil, kanannya sawah.. ebuset, kalau elo hilang keseimbangan, nyemplunglah rame-rame kita entah ke sungai atau ke sawah..
In another time the driver chose a small path where small river was on the left side, rice field on the right side.. geez, dude, if you lost your balance, we all gonna fall either to the river or to the rice field..
Tapi syukurlah pada para malaikat pelindung saya yang telah bekerja keras melindungi saya sehingga semua itu tidak terjadi.
But thanks to my guardian angels who have worked hard to protect me so none has ever happened.

Yap, begitu deh sedikit cerita tentang pengalaman saya selama sekian bulan menjadi pelanggan ojeg online.

Skr ini aku lg rutin2nya pake ojek online dan angkot sekalian plus busway wjwkwkwkw.. Aku dirotasi dr tempat kerja jd megang branch yg rada jauh. Dan kesananya hrs 3x ganti transport :p. Ngakak td baca yg kecepatan angkot tergantung dr mood driver. Bener bangetttt :p. Kalo aku udh telat dan itu supir jalannya lelet beud, duuuh pgn tak cekek rasanya supaya dia ngebut :p
ReplyDeleteKalo online driver, slama ini aku pakenya gojek sih, blm prnh sekalipun coba yg lain. Untungnya slalu dpt supir yg baik, walopun kdg ada yg tipe suka ngomong. Duuuh aku males tuh ngelayanin yg begini.. Malah ada yg curhat gt k aku. Tp selagi mereka g kurang ajar, biasanya aku g pernah tega ngasih rating dibawah 5. :D.
Eh cm aku sempet agak aneh wkt itu drivernya.. Namanya cewe tuh di aplikasi.. Tpi yg dtg malah cowo. Cm aku ga perpanjanglah.. Mikir baiknya aja, mngkin lg dipinjem ama sodaranya aplikasi dia..
Duh, kamu pake moda transportasi sampe 3 gitu, fan? wkwkwk.. ojeg iya, angkot iya, busway iya.. mabokkkk... bisa tua di jln.. hehe.. berangkat dr rumah jam berapa? sampe rumah jam berapa? berapa lama pegang cabang yg baru ini?

aq jarang nemu sopir ojeg online yg bawel. aq jg ga suka ngajak ngobrol supaya mereka bisa konsen nyetir. tapi kalo nemu sopir bawel yg asyik & mood aq jg lg enak, ya, ngobrol deh sepanjang jln.
waktu hari senin kemaren, misalnya, sopir uber gaya ngomong & logatnya kayak mandra di si doel anak sekolahan, betawi banget. wah, sdh lama nih ga ketemu betawinya jakarte, tanah air yg sdh kutinggalkan.. wkwkwk.. so ngobrol lah kita berdua panjang lebar sambil mengenang tanah air yg sdh ditinggalkan itu. seru.
kl nama cewe, yg nongol cowo.. aq pernah jg. rada aneh jg sih.. hehehe..
Kenyaman, kecepatan, dan harga memang jadi pilihan. Setiap moda transportasi ada aja penggemarnya. Bahkan, yang gemar sepedaan atau jalan kaki juga banyak.
